2.1 Browse Our Auctions

Current Auctions: View all live auctions, with filters for location, category, and time left.

Closing Soon: Items with less than 24 hours remaining—great for spotting last-minute deals.

Category Pages: Check popular categories like Food Trucks, Kitchen Appliances, Refrigeration, or Dining Furniture to find exactly what you need.

2.2 Use Search & Filters

• Keyword Search: Type specific models or brands (e.g., “Hobart mixer”).

• Location: Filter for auctions near you to save on shipping or easily pick up in person.

• Price Range: Narrow down items within your budget.

Pro Tip: Add items to your Watchlist so you can revisit them easily and keep an eye on competing bids.

3. Evaluating Items

3.1 Read the Listing Carefully

• Photos & Descriptions: Look for high-resolution images, condition notes, and any included accessories.

• Specifications: Confirm capacity, dimensions, or voltage requirements.

• Seller Notes: Some items may have disclaimers like “sold as-is” or “needs maintenance.”

3.2 Ask Questions (If Available)

If the listing has a Q&A or comment section, ask for additional details if something is unclear.

For major purchases, you may want to arrange a preview inspection if offered. Check the auction details or contact us for scheduling.

Tip: The more you know about the item’s condition and features, the more confident you’ll be in setting your maximum bid.

4. Placing Your Bid

4.1 How Bidding Works

• Standard Timed Auctions: Each item has a countdown timer. The highest bid when time expires wins.

• Automatic Bidding: Enter your maximum bid; the system bids on your behalf just enough to stay ahead of competing bidders

4.2 Bidding Steps

1. Click “Bid Now” on any auction listing.

2. Enter Your Maximum Bid in the pop-up or dedicated field.

3. Confirm Your Bid—once submitted, you’ll see if you’re currently the highest bidder.

Outbid Alerts: We’ll send you an email or text if you’re outbid (assuming you enabled notifications), so you can quickly return to raise your bid if desired.

4.3 Understanding the Buyer’s Premium

A buyer’s premium is an additional percentage added to the final hammer price.

For instance, if an item sells at $1,000 and the buyer’s premium is 10%, your total is $1,100 (plus any applicable taxes/shipping).

Always check the listing for the exact premium so you can budget accurately.

5. Winning & Payment

5.1 Auction Close

• Watch the Timer: As time winds down, bidding can get competitive. Stay alert and keep an eye on your watchlist.

• Automatic Extensions (If Applicable): Some auctions extend if a bid is placed in the final moments, preventing “sniping.” Check each listing’s rules.

5.2 Congrats, You Won!

You’ll receive an invoice via email (and a notification in your My Account) with the final amount due.

Review your invoice details, then proceed to secure checkout.

5.3 Payment Options

• Credit/Debit Cards: Major cards accepted.

• Bank Transfer or PayPal (if applicable).

• Due Date: Typically, payment is required within 48 hours after winning. Failure to pay may result in account suspension or cancellation of your winning bid.

6. Pickup & Shipping

6.1 Local Pickup

If the item is nearby or designated “Local Pickup Only,” you’ll get the address and pickup window in your invoice or through email.

6.2 Shipping Options

• Small to Mid-Sized Items: May be eligible for standard shipping. You’ll see an estimate or instructions on the listing.

• Large Equipment: Freight shipping is often necessary. We can recommend carriers, but shipping arrangements and costs are typically the buyer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

• Coordinate Promptly: Once paid, items usually need to be picked up or shipped within a specified timeframe (e.g., 5-7 days).

Note: Always clarify shipping or pickup details within the stated timeframe to avoid storage fees or forfeiting your item.
